Eye injuries can have profound personal and societal consequences, yet many are preventable with the right strategies. Annette Hoskin, Global Standardization Director at EssilorLuxottica and expert in eye injury prevention, will explore how Australia compares internationally in ocular trauma incidence, policy, and prevention. Her presentation will examine the far-reaching impacts on quality of life, employment, and economic burden. Drawing on her research in the incidence and nature of eye injuries, their prevention and leadership in global standards, Annette will highlight strategies to improve eye health protection.
